Our Vice President, Leticia Resendez, has been (and continues to be) a vital influence in reshaping our company from the ground up. With her drive, determination, and sheer dedication, Trashco Inc. has blazed a trail straight towards a new wave of excellent customer service, community interaction and support, and operational innovation.
Without women like Leticia, Trashco Inc. wouldn’t even be a shadow of what it is today. She has helped solidify and utilize our position as a core part of the community to support not only cleaner streets, but funding and supplies for vital projects. In a survey of 2,250 adults, the Pew Research Center showed that women excel more than men in 5 out of 8 core leadership qualities! These include honesty, intelligence, compassion, creativity, and how outgoing they are. Even when considering the other three elements of effective leaders, women tied with men in another two (how hardworking and ambitious they are).
Meanwhile, other studies have proven that companies are more likely to undertake environmentally friendly, renewable initiatives if at least 30% of their board members are women. Organizations such as the European Investment Bank have been campaigning to encourage having women in leadership positions for years now, and all of it comes back to one simple fact:

She is often seen with her boots on the ground, talking to locals at career fairs, driving donations at charity events, and cheering on the kids when we can help out with school programs. Just last month she (and the rest of the team, including our mascot Rocket) was cheering on everyone and celebrating Semana del Niño Pequeño with The Laredo Independent School District!
Leticia isn’t interested in just taking away Laredo’s trash. She and the rest of the Trashco family want to clean up the community in more ways than one - we want to see women and men, young and old, single and full families, all living better lives through the efforts of everyone. After all, it’s easier to build a better future for all when you’re building to the same schematics.
